Very loosely based on Christopher Isherwood’s experiences in Berlin as the Nazis came to power, Cabaret includes a gay sub-plot and fantastic songs. Cabaret is the seventh production for JYM theatre co., the not-for-profit inclusive Jewish organisation that brings together people over 18 with a passion for musical theatre – whether on stage or behind the scenes. Cabaret at the Phoenix Theatre, Elwood College, 101 Glenhuntly Rd, Elwood, May 14-23, 2009. Bookings: (03) 9568 7775 or www.jymtheatre.com Photo: Des McMillan |
